In 2009, we decided to be more than just a freight broker. North Shore Transportation, Inc. was formed as an asset based trucking company to better service our customers.
North Shore Transportation handles all types of flatbed, step-deck, and double-drop trailer freight in full truck loads, LTL / partial loads, over-size and overweight specialized shipments like cranes and earth movers.
Being headquartered in the Cleveland area provides us with the opportunity to offer our services to local shippers.
Our Fleet
Our fleet is comprised of all late model tractors that are fleet maintained.
Our leased tractors are backed by an outstanding service agreement that allows us to keep rolling even in the event of a breakdown. Careful safety and maintenance procedures are critical and high priority with regard to our trucks.
Client Communication
We maintain constant contact with our clients.
It begins by informing you of when a truck is available to manage your shipment, and then you’ll receive ongoing, proactive alerts regarding the status of your shipment until successful, final delivery.
In addition, North Shore clients will receive continuous real time updates on their shipments.
Our company is large enough to handle your specialized and heavy haul loads, but small enough to be flexible, easy to work with, and truly committed to exceeding your expectations.
Insuring Peace of Mind
All transportation companies carry insurance, but what sets North Shore apart from our competitors is that we carry more than just the bare minimum.
We carry $1 million in liability insurance and $100,000 for cargo coverage in the rare event of loss or damage. This means that you only have to deal with us should something go wrong. Our claims ratio is extremely low, but should something unexpected happen, we want you to have the peace of mind that we’ve got you covered.
